On 11 April, the RECEIPT consortium published a paper on their journey to build and evaluate physical climate storylines within the project. The paper “Climate impact storylines for assessing socio-economic responses to remote events” presents a series of common elements to construct the event storylines and criteria needed to be applied in climate risk assessment.
The project coordinator, Bart van den Hurk, says that: This new paper describes a protocol that RECEIPT developed to conduct storyline analyses of complex transboundary climate impact cascades. With the entire team we disentangle the various steps that we followed to construct and evaluate the storylines, and illustrate the procedure with a number of elaborated examples. It can be read as a practical guideline to support the analysis of complex climate-induced societal risks.
