The European Commission will release the new and more ambitious EU Adaptation Strategy on February 24th, 2021. The Strategy complements the proposed European Climate Law and sets to foster adaptive capacity and socially-just transformations to climate-resilient society, fully adapted to the unavoidable impacts of climate change. A virtual event composed of parallel science-policy workshop sessions and high-level panel, organised in a close collaboration with the European Commission, DG Climate Action, will take place on February 25-26, 2021. During this event, experts and practitioners working on adaptation and disaster risk reduction will discuss how to reach the goals and objectives of the new EU Adaptation Strategy and how to accelerate adaptation actions.
