ECCA 2021, the 5th European Climate Change Adaptation conference, will be taking place between 25 May and 22 June 2021. A series of webinars is organised from 25 May to 10 June, in the run-up to a high-level event on 22 June. The high-level event, hosted by the European Commission, will take place back to back with the annual European Research & Innovation Days (23-24 June). The full programme can be found here.
ECCA 2021 aims to turn the spotlight on the pressing needs to increase climate resilience in Europe and beyond. It will focus on the importance to improve and accelerate the transfer of knowledge from research and innovation to policies and practices, including societal transformation and behavioural change. The goal of the conference is to inspire adaptation action by showcasing solutions, exchanging knowledge, creating connections, and encouraging dialogue on how to act more and faster at every level.
RECEIPT is proud to be organising the conference alongside the European Commission, JPI Climate and Horizon 2020 projects SINCERE and CASCADES.
Participants will include researchers and adaptation experts, policy-makers, local authorities, practitioners in climate risks management, the private sector with a focus on businesses already engaged with and taking action on climate risk, NGOs, citizens organizations, youth and education organisations, community groups engaged in adaptation, communicators and all interested individuals.
Attendees will have the opportunity to actively participate in the conference in many different ways and to network with other participants in the virtual marketplace, including the possibility to book 1-on-1 meetings.
